The estates.

The family estate boasts 85 acres of farm land between vineyards (60 acres), (olive orchard 15 acres), arable, vegetable plots and fruit orchards. The vineyards are situated in the towns of Salemi and Santa Ninfa in the province of Trapani, in an area specialized in wine production, between 150 to 450 meters above sea level.

The commitment and dedication of three generations has enabled us to cultivated cultivate and experiment autochthonous varieties such as Inzolia, Cataratto, Grillo, Zibibbo, Nero d’Avola and Perricone, as well as international such as Chardonnay, Muller Thurgau, Sauvignon Blanc, Syrah, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Tannat.

The olive orchards are located at 450 meters above sea level, in the territory of Santa Ninfa, in an area particularly suited to the production of extra virgin olive oil, that is, the Valle del Belice.

The bodies of water in the estate guarantee water supply to the vineyards, particularly during dry years. During the year we only intervene with “rescue” irrigation which aid in maintaining high levels of grape quality. The use of traditional and modern Organic Farming techniques (green manure, organic infrastructures etc.) and non-use of chemical substances are the highest expression of the passion and care the company has for nature and the consumer.

We manifest our full respect of the vines and grapes through manual harvesting of the grapes by qualified laborers. As soon as the grapes are harvested they are quickly brought to the wine cellar in order to be processed in the shortest possible time.

 

Gli specchi d’acqua interni alla tenuta, garantiscono l’approvvigionamento idrico per i vigneti, specie nelle annate più siccitose. Durante l’annata si interviene solo con irrigazioni di “soccorso” che consentono di mantenere alta la qualità delle uve.
L’utilizzo di tradizionali e moderne tecniche di Agricoltura Biologica (sovesci, infrastrutture ecologiche, ecc.) ed il non utilizzo di sostanze chimiche di sintesi, sono la massima espressione della passione e della cura che l’azienda rivolge alla natura ed ai consumatori.

Il pieno rispetto delle vigne e delle uve si materializza con la raccolta manuale delle uve ad opera di manodopera qualificata. Le uve, appena raccolte, raggiungono la cantina rapidamente in modo da essere lavorate nel più breve tempo possibile.
